The Ratings Forecaster module uses a combination of statistical techniques and domain knowledge to predict ratings for programs, day-parts, launches, high points and re-scheduled programs. The purpose of this module is to predict weekly channel GRP and day-parts / programs ratings of a channel for specified market and target groups. It also offers what-if analysis which is used by the channel's research team to predict ratings of program launches, high points and re-schedules. |
Why Ratings Forecaster

Ratings Forecaster provides early signals of falling channel and program performance and hence allowing users to take corrective action if necessary, e.g. by improving the content, launching additional promos etc. The forecasts are especially useful while planning new launches, high points and movies and also while rescheduling programs. The application helps in assessing competitor's performance by forecasting competitor's ratings. The forecasts could prove to be extremely helpful in planning promo campaigns and also pricing programs correctly.
